Owner filled out the form and faxed back to Ford HQ. He came up to me and said, "hello Brand Manager", and showed me the form! Seems like Ford wants a contact at each dealer, for information that needs to be passed out and such. SWEET . Only fitting, as EVERYONE comes to me with Mustang and Shelby questions already.

Well it looks like that is at least $2,000 over MSRP the dealer has to cover in expenses.

Just curious, back when the Bullitt came out when did the dealers receive info? I only ask because I'm starting to wonder if we will see an SE at the Detroit Auto Show, or the more likely GT500 debut.

We didn't get actual info on the package (i.e Hero Cards) till the car was unveiled to the public. Once that happened, Ford sent the cards to us ASAP.

Not necessarily Mike. I think my boss would probably take a 2010 order at MSRP.

Thanks for the quick reply, I guess the dealers are as in the dark about future SE cars as we are.

Sure we are. Only the salespeople who are ACTUALLY interested in cars, know anything. And we are a shrinking minority, as most of the salespeople I meet at seminars just think of this as a job and don't want ANYTHING to do with cars on their off time. I live for this stuff. When we close at 5 pm on Saturdays during the spring/summer/early fall, the car comes out and I'm off to a car show, cruise night, or something that involves cars.

I am in sales (not by choice) and years ago I interviewed with the sales manager of a high end car dealership who confessed to me that he "wasn't in love with the metal". It wasn't until after the interview that I realized what he meant. I was still stunned that he was wearing cowboy boots with a suit in Boston, MA.

+1000 i couldnt of said it any better. Nothing kills the expierence more when you go into a dealer and know more then the person selling you the car. This has happened to me a few times.

You can order a car now. As for pricing? I am assuming its available (though I haven't looked). As for A/Z-Plan pricing? I'm sure its not going to be available on the GT500. It wasn't on the current cars, and even with them sitting on lots right now, Ford hasn't lifted the ban on them. So, I would highly doubt Plan pricing on the 2010s will be available.
