2013 Shelby 1000 pics from NY

Some pictures of the 2013 Shelby 1000 at the New York Auto Show:

I can't believe that Shelby uses a fake carbon fiber overlay instead of the real stuff on a Mustang that costs over $200,000.

I can't believe they put that ugly-*** graphic on the car.

$200,000 for a Mustang? I'd be afraid to take it out of the garage, and what fun is that?

No thanks, I'd rather buy a Ford GT and twin turbo it, and still have $50K left over for that $200K.

You guys might have a hard time swallowing this fact, but this car isn't built for those who have to look at the balance of their bank accounts.

While true, wouldn't matter to me. If I won the lotto tomorrow I wouldn't be spending $200k on this.

Fake carbon fiber? Really?

:BS: if you won 138M you're buying this car just to say you have it. I'd buy it just to give it to the first person on the street to compliment it. Lol

LOL then I hope you win it you'll be getting a PM from me!

There are Shelbys I'd spend $200K on, just not this one. I'd get a 2013 and customize it my own way.

I do, but I would still value $200k. If I had been rich my whole life then yeah it would mean little to me, but coming from where I've been $200k is a lot of moolah.

I'd be the cheapest millionaire ever

Yea I saw this at the show last week. The carbon fiber overlay wouldn't be such a big problem if they didn't put it EVERYWHERE. That said, it's a mean looking car otherwise and that engine is something to behold.

An engineering marvel! But also an overpriced job. 150k not including the car itself? That motor better be blueprinted, carbon ceramic brake discs with six piston calipers all around, x-brace in place of backseats, alcantara and real CF everywhere! 200k is cheap by its numbers but in reality, it just costs too much for a street-driven mustang

There are sooo many things I would buy before that, but I do respect that engine.
