2013 GT500 Illuminated Door Sill Plates
I have a question for all of you that have received your 2013 GT500s.
Are the door sill kick plates lighted from the factory? When you use Ford's "build your own" it shows that you can get these illuminated for $295. The dealer where I ordered my GT500 could not find this option when placing my order.
So I'm wondering if yours came illuminated from the factory or not and if you had to have this "dealer installed."
Thanks!

Correction, they are RED from the factory. You need to change them to green or blue. And here is how you do it:

I just found out that some of the other Mustangs (Premium) have their sill lights controlled by the MyColor system. They are able to change the color on the sills just like we can change the ambient lighting.
It would be interesting to see what the difference is in the wiring.

AMBIENT LIGHT
Turns the ambient lighting on or off. Ambient lighting provides accent lighting in various locations such as footwell areas, cup holders and the center console bin. The parking lamps/headlamps must be on to use ambient lighting.
Press and hold RESET to turn the feature on or off.Last edited by Snoopy49; 8/31/12 at 07:43 PM.
