While optimism is a positive approach the reality of the base price and options will be the normal annual increase plus the upgrades. To expect a 2 or 3% increase across the board would be unrealistic. Hopefully I will be proven wrong.

Cool

I am standing by my expectation of a base price of less than $51000. You all know very few will be sold at base price. We all like to tailor a Mustang to our desires by adding options. The buyers who ad options will ensure Ford makes enough money so they will not worry about a barely profitable base model or two.

Really? You must have a good connection to get that good of a deal. I'd be surprised if it comes in less that 70k, and I could easily see it being around 72k (well optioned). I also fear ADM's will be 10k+.

If he's saying $65k including tax, then that's probably unreachable, but both Jeff and Brian have weighed in with estimates well below $59k for a base gt500. The pp will probably be around $4k, recaros are $1600, coolers I'm guessing around $3k, might be less. That's approx $8600 in add-ons. That puts the base price at $57k for him to miss the $65k mark with those options. I think he's actually close. Of course this depends heavily on the coolers not being >$3000. TIFWIW.

He was talking about prices in Canada. In Canada the MSRP is usually over 10k more than the sticker in the US. I see no way that he's getting it for under 70k, so to even think about 65k seems like a total dream.

Ford Canada has build and price up for some 2013 models. The Boss 302 was on there. No option for the LS but I priced out a loaded 302, taxes in it came to 60k. That means the LS will price out at around 65k, so I'm thinking base level GT500 will be around 70k.

Well thats not cool. Especially with the exchange rate favoring Canada right now. How much is a loaded GT going for by way of comparison with the US?
