The GT500 with all options is already close to $60K. The MSRP for a '12 coupe with SVTPP and Recaros is $55K. Add Nav and glass roof is close to $59K
Every time SVT has offered a model with substancial performance upgrades from the previous model there has been a substancial price increase. From the '01 to the '03 the increase was about 12% while from the '04 to the '07 it was over 20%. This time will be no different. I will be very surprised if the increase across the board is less than 10%.

This is just an estimate by someone and is completely irrelevent since Ford has not yet released any pricing for the '13 GT500. Could be right on target or could be off by $10K, we won't know until Ford tells us, probably still about a month away. I wouldn't get worked up either way on this information.
c/d = Car and Driver? Then everything they printed is a guess since no one but Ford has actually test driven anything but pre-production prototypes as far we know and Ford has yet to release pricing.
Would that be the competitor with 70 less HP and 270 lb. weight premium?
My '12 has a better weight/HP ratio than the ZL1...

No reason to get caught up in the hysteria about a huge increase in price for the 2013 GT500. Ford will not chase buyers away from purchasing a GT500. More than likely, Ford will offer a base GT500 for no more than 51000 dollars. Ford will let the buyers determine the final price with their selection of options. Fortunately, Ford has more options for the GT500 than GM has for the ZL1. For those who like to spend alot of money, Ford will also help them.
I would pay $60k easy with all that car will do. I think ADMs will hit again, with dealers using the '200mph' hype tacked on top of the usual collectible bs.
That said, I'm still in love with my 07 GT500, and 550rwhp is plenty for the street and the road course. What I'm really jealous of is the weight of the Al blocks. Will have to wait for rebuild time on that one. I bet the new car is a BLAST however.

While we wait for official prices from Ford, I'll interject with my own guess on 2013 prices for you all to ponder. MSRP for a 2012 GT500 (with NO options) is $49,605. With the new, higher cost blower on the '13 in addition to the supporting upgrades, I would expect about a $2K increase bringing us to just under $52K on a "base" '13 GT500 Coupe. Add in the Recaros and SVTPP and SVT Track Package and that will likely bump us up another $6K-$7K, putting us in the $58K-$59K range.
Now, add in the Electronics Pkg ~ $2,300 and the glass roof ~ $2,000 and we're talking about $62K-$63K for a loaded '13 GT500 coupe.
Verts are $5K more than a comparably equipped coupe, so I'm guessing verts will start just under $57K and run as high as $65K-$67K.
Again, pure speculation on my part with no inside info from Ford, but rather based on 13 years as our store's SVT Director.

I think there will be a nominal price increase over 2012 but it will very reasonable, somewhere in the 5% range for base, more options for 2013 will further bump up the "fully loaded" price. With gas prices headed to $5 and the economy still stalled out, a significant increase in price would be a non-starter. As it is, gas prices and employment will derail a number of people who would normally be in the market this year.
