Just got the VIN assigned today. No 'sub to plant' (unless VIN assigned equals 'sub to plant' )

 

You got a VIN, that is good news! Congrats ! What color ?

 

Just like this one. Still waiting for a production date. All kinds of rumors flying around. Anyway, glad to get the VIN because that makes it 'real' regardless of when the car actually gets produced.

 

Update:

Got the weekly order sheet today from the dealer (I guess there was some software screwup that kept them from getting it on Thursday evening like normal). Shows a "SCHD DATE: 04/05", "STATUS DATE: 04/08" and "ETA: 04/13". Status shows as "Scheduled".

Not sure I believe the ETA. No window sticker shows up yet either.

Progress though, however you look at it.

At the moment, the sheets are updated overnight/early in the morning.

 

Sticker came up yesterday afternoon. Shows a build date of 04/08/10.

 

Where do you see the build date on the sticker?

 

No sticker for me yet... But Jeff said 4/12, so maybe sometime next week... Congrats Ricky.

Just found out my dealer has one "dealer stock" car coming in before my retail order. Stupid "stock before retail" assignments. They offered it to me, but it had the SVT package and I don't want that. If I'm spending that much for a car, it's gonna be exactly what I want. So yep, still waiting, too. Guess that just means I'll have a little more saved up for a down payment.

 

100% Agree with you, at that price point, you better get EXACTLY what you want !!

 

At the top left, right before the 4 digit 'blend' number. The date is shown as 1yyyymmdd.

 

Upper lefthand corner starts with something like (in my case):

FLR-000297 OH 120100408 0107

Take the '120100408' number, strip off the leading digit and you are left with 2010 04 08.

The date on the stickers is actually the day BEFORE the actual build date... Unless they've made a change to that info.

 

Would it be correct to say that's the day it gets bucked to begin assembly? I seem to recall it is about a 24 hour process start to finish, but I'm not sure.
