2011 GT500 Mods

Hey guys,

So I purchased some go faster parts from Lethal Performance this last weekend during their promotion. My question is if anybody has this setup on a 2010 or higher and what gains they achieved.

So I go the C&L Intake (I like the look better than JLT), 2.59 VMP pulley, Idler, Spark Plugs, BBK Throttle Body twin bore 65mm, and a custom tune from Jon Lund.

Does anybody have this setup (or similar) on a 10' or higher?

My next mod will be Headers, Catted X-pipe and a catback. Any suggestions on what will make it sound throaty and raspy? Do you have to retune to get this exhaust upgrade?

Thanks in advance,

Happy rubber burnin

Honestly the throttle was probably a waste of money. Unless you are upgrading the blower at the same time, even though the throttle is bigger, your not going to get any noticable gains from it. Here is my mod list on my 2010 GT500 and I still have not upgraded the throttle body.

• Kooks 1 7/8” Longtube headers and high flow catted X-Pipe
• Comp Cams “Shelby 1000 Grind”, Comp Titanium Valve Springs, Comp Steel Retainers
• Spec Racing Clutch Part # SFG5SST-3
• Borla “Stinger” Mufflers
• Metco 2.6 SC Pulley and Double Aux. Idler Pulley
• Shelby Extreme Duty Heat Exchanger, Extreme Duty Radiator, and Extreme Duty Reservoirs
• Shelby/ Baer Extreme 14” Brakes Front and Rear
• Shelby High Performance Fuel Rails
• JLT Carbon Fiber Intake
• Airaid Air Filter
• GT500KR Rear Axle Reservoir
• Driveshaft Shop GT500 3 ¼” Carbon Fiber Driveshaft
• UPR Oil Separator
• Reische Performance 170 Degree Thermostat

With this setup so far I am at 615RWHP. My next mod will be a 3.4 Whipple, then its time for the throttle body, new injectors and fuel pumps.

I'm sure you will definitely feel like it is a completely new car with the mods you have. And I would have tried to get it tuned on a dyno. That way whoever is modding it can see if something needs to be changed in the tune. A canned tune won't do that. And trust me not trying to burst your bubble but just trying to help out. I've been modding my GT500 for 4 years swapping parts with other parts and then changing those parts again.

Canned tunes are on the conservative side, my tuner sells them.
To get max results from your upgrades, find a tuner, there is no replacement for the tuner driving the car..
If you haven't done so already, baseline the car before you start the mods.

So i got the mods. i have two problems. i cant get the pulley off. i have the vmp pulley puller. so i put the belt back on the stock pulley and installed the tune. i ran the car to heat the pulley up. when the car was running it idled anywhere from 1,000 to 1,500 rpm. then i took it around the block and it would rev to almost 3,000 rpm without me on the gas and clutch pressed to the floor. is this a tuning issue? Would my new pulley fix this or is it the custom tune?
