It's also possible that they HAD to place the signal markers outboard due to the increased brightness of the HIDs, which when off-angle, would make the signal markers harder to see if they were inboard.

OK Coop, I'll give you that one as well. Everyone I know calls them Aardvark Vans. I don't know about the Aerostar but those those GM "things" were HORRIBLE! I drove them when I worked for a car rental company occasionally. You almost felt like you were driving from the back seat, I swear it was like having the entire hood inside the car with you, the dash was so deep.

Pretty sure that the headlights can be had in either way. HIDs are an option, while the Kona one has the standard light setup. I dont think it has anything to do with the model being a coupe or vert. I think Ford was just trying to show it equiped at different levels.
