In my opinion, some of Saleen's (the brand) best products were developed and released after the departure of Mr. Saleen.

Thanks fellas

I agree with Marz too. I hope they retain some of the folks who worked on the Saleen brand after the split. Although it sounds like it got pretty personal so I doubt anyone stays

Pass.

I assume it'll be a 302. Also, last I heard was that the 351 stroker kit that's available for the Coyote pushes the motor real hard. Not sure how long it'll hold up.....

I matter of opinion I suppose, and then the matter of warranties with the car owners really turned me against the company after Steve left.

I suppose it depends on how they do it? A stock bore coyote punched out to 351 cid would require a 107mm stroke which is a wee bit longer than the stroke in the 5.8 trinity motor.

If they are sleeving the motor and stroking it 95mm x 101mm you get a shorter stroke compared to the trinity and then it boils down to rod to stroke ratio and where the pin resides in the piston.

If the R/S ratio is decent (comparable to the 5.8 trinity) and the pin doesn't reside all the way up into the ring package or very close to it then it shouldn't be much of an issue.

The rest of the package is a non-issue as the coyote valvetrain is top notch as far as RPM is concerned in stock form.

Hopefully more detailed specs will arrive on the motor and we can see?

After my experience with my saleen pj I will never buy a saleen or tuner car again. fords own special editions (boss, Gt500) provide a better value, support and even better resale value.

Ya we'll see what happens. Honestly, the only thing from Saleen that I have any interest in is an S7.

I wonder if Phil Frank is reading this thread? Furthermore, if he's responsible for the upcoming design?

I think what he did with the mustang is amazing... and other cars as well. Lol
