6.2 liter V8/Mach 1 for 2014 or next gen?

Seen many postings on speculative special editions to end this gen before the redesigned models appear. Would love to see an na engine w/more cubes. I'm sure a factory modded 6.2 V8 can be added as the Boss is gone. It could sit beneath the GT500 & over the Mustang GT. Ford already has a 6.2 dohc V8. Add a more aggressive cam/tuning, direct injection. 500hp would be realistic. If done right I would have to own one. Anyone else wondering why the 6.2 hasnt been placed in the Stang yet? Will there ever be another Mach 1?

Im sure wed all love to throw a 7.0L under the hood and supercharge it to 9182484199hp but our economy is struggling. Gas prices keep going climbing an the emmissions laws and what-not are becoming less and less forgiving. Id love to see a big motor for a SE but IMO it wouldnt be very cost effective, might not attract as many buyers, and it would be pretty expensive.

Ill take a Bullitt, DHG, torq thrust rims in all black but polished lip. Basic options, recaro seats optional, same tech pckgs as the Boss basically. But no quad exhaust from factory

If anything the engines will just get even smaller and add forced induction. Isn't the 6.2 a big heavy truck engine.

I would certainly buy a Raptor if Ford offered an aluminum block version of the 6.2 liter engine. Since the Raptor 6.2 liter is cast iron, I do not see Ford making an aluminum block version for the Mustang first. I would think there would be rumors of an aluminum block 6.2 liter engine in the Raptor before one would appear in the Mustang.

They need to make a 32v version too.

When they first released the engine it was said the architecture is there for it. Don't know how much longer these big engines are going to exist though. I think it was said that the 6.2 would not be included in the coming F150 lineup. Leaving its only duty as the gas alternative to the Superduty line.

I pray you're right!
I'm really hoping they put a more fuel efficient motor in the Raptor... If there is an ecoboost 5.0 option for it soon... The boss may have to go...
