I really hate to be negative about ANY Mustang model, but I truly don't like the new GT/CS at all! I like the front end for the most part, but I just think a GT looks right without the fog lights in the grille (excluding the Bullitt). But I can live with that.

I REALLY hate that rear spoiler, for any model of any Mustang they could offer. It looks too Honda Civic aftermarket-ish. Spoiler delete should be the standard and make the people who actually like that thing choose the option instead of the other way around.

The wheels aren't very exciting to me and look more like something you'd find on a V6 model, and the stripe is not nearly as nice looking as the '07-'09 stripe IMO.

One thing I am jealous of on the new GT/CS vs the '07-'09s is it is apparently possible to get it with the charcoal interior. I would give anything to have that instead of the charcoal/dove two-tone interior ours has.

Overall, I think Ford needs to let the Bullitt and GT/CS go. I do agree with the earlier poster who said the GT/CS is essentially a pony package for the GT, and I LOVE ours. It has historical significance, but it does nothing for performance. Bring back the Boss (obviously) and a new Mach 1. Personally, I think the '05-'09 body would have been the best opportunity for a return of the Boss or Mach 1, but having it return on an '11+ would also be great.

I believe that is correct. Either that, or Shelby Automotive, Inc. But I think it's "America".

They did a great job for the 11 GT/CS. I think my 07 GT/CS is more of a throwback and that I like, however I am sure the public will respond very well and I bet there will be many more 11 GT/CS produced per year than the previous S197 version. Congrat's FORD!

Judging from the opinions I've seen on this thread, people either love it or hate it! There seems to be no middle road as far as opinions go. Myself, I like it! But I do agree that more chrome-like features could set this car off nicely! Trouble is, I see too many car makers useing that chromed plastic and watched it either peel or stain over time. Polished stainless was and still is better in my opinion!

I have to say the 07-09 GT/CS was the best looking Mustang period from the 05-09's. It was perfection. Stunning looks and a great luxury interior.

The new model

For starters the pedestral rear spoiler looks absolutely ridiculous. A spoiler delete option as was available on the prior GT/CS would be a must.

The side GT/CS sticker though not bad has been done better on all prevoius models. I wish it would have gone all the way to the front of the car.

The blacked out rear decklid is cool.

The front fascia is good!

The grill doesn't work. It should be black to match the rest of the car not shiny silver. Get rid of the pony emblem. It belongs on a different model. The below pictures is how it should have been done.

The silver grill would work with silver stripes and a silver decklid! Also instead of the black carbon finished seats and dash these then would be silver as well.

The interior has the same major problem the 07-09 GT500 did. It is all the same color, monotonous and boring. The 2010+ Gt500 is a massive improvement interior wise compared to the older model due to the fact a great interior needs contrast. The earlier GT/CS had this theme down to perfection and the interior was stunning as it is on the new GT500. Now is the carbon fiber interior seats and dash were in silver that would be a different matter.

Not crazy about the rims at all. I like the new Star Trek rims on the 2011 and even the starfish rims on the 2010.

All in all unless there are 2 interior options it is a bit of a mess.

Thanks for the pics TopNotch. This version really isn't doing it for me. I'm going to wait for one of the performance enhanced SE's.

Count me as someone who is just sorta middle on the road on this one. I like that it's noticeably different than the standard GT (just as much if not moreso than the '05-'09 GT/CS were) and I think it's a package worth looking at though I'm not sure it'd be for me. I think the rims and front fascia are fine, but I'm not a huge fan of the side scoops and certainly not of the rear spoiler. Everything else looks pretty good to me. Though I prefer a more sleeper look (Bullitt any one?), I think this would be worthwhile package for potential buyers to at least investigate as long as it was reasonably priced.

Not a fan of the red. Other than that, I think it looks okay. The interior looks great. The rear wing is unique. I don't know much of the CS history, is this package only available in V6 or is this a GT package upgrade and you lose the 5.0 emblem? I'd rather have a 5.0 on the side with a small CS badge instead of the big sticker imo.

Are we sure the metal grill and spoiler are standard? Maybe they're dealer installed accessories?

Not doing it for me. Not crazy about the rims. I think the rear end looks worse than stock, the rear spoiler is repulsive, and the front end looks like someone stuck an aftermarket billet grill on with some pepboys foglights. Factory rice.

Well, I still really like it, although I'd change thre rear spoiler and lose the side ducts. It needs lowering......just WHEN will Ford get the stance right from the factory? I'm also not a fan of any of the stock wheels (20" deep dish, preferrably Shelby CS69s).

As long as the front and rear facias are available aftermarket, I'd probably just get a stock GT and make all the changes to make my ideal Mustang

BUT, I do prefer this to the stock GT, so it's all good in my book!

Glad I like my 08 GT/CS Vert better as I would have had to trade up.
