Mustangs & Mustangs @ Fantasy of Flight Saturday April 5, 2008
#22
Okay all, I’ll try to abbreviate the outcome from our monthly meeting last night on how we are planning to caravan to the show.
If you’re going be a chowhound before the drive down, we plan on meeting at the Cracker Barrel restaurant located at US98/50 just east off of Interstate 75 at 6:00AM. We will be pulling out of Cracker Barrel around 6:45AM briefly stopping by the Winn Dixie just east of I 75 to gather up any last minute recruits that weren’t hungry (or just plain running late and didn’t make it for breakfast).
The route from mapquest has us taking US98/50East to 301S/98E, about 10 miles then making a slight left onto US-98 BYP E/ US-301 TRUCK S for about a mile. Stay on OLD LAKELAND HWY/ CR-35 ALT for about 5 miles. Take a RIGHT onto CR-35A/ OLD LAKELAND HWY for 0.2 miles followed by a SHARP RIGHT onto US-98 S/ FL-35 S/ FL-700 S. Roughly 20 Miles to I4. Going EAST on I4 to exit 44 (another 12 miles).
We will then meet up with the rest of the group at “The meeting point will be at the gas station that's just as you exit I4, south of I4 on SR559 (which is the exit for Fantasy of Flight). This is the same place as last year... I think it's still a Love's Gas Station. Eastbound I4 travelers: hang a right on SR559 and the gas station/truck stop is there on the left.
Meet at 8am, leave at 8:30am.”
Hope this isn’t to convuluted and look forward to seeing y’all Saturday.

1. If you want your car to be judged for the car show you have to
pre-register. and
2. If its like last year and you dont pre register you could be waiting
in the non registered line for an hour...no kidding....cuz I did last
year.
Here is a link to print out and mail in I think you have till the 29th of this month to get it there. Look forward to meeting you

This will be a good first show for you. The main reasons to pre-register are
1. If you want your car to be judged for the car show you have to
pre-register. and
2. If its like last year and you dont pre register you could be waiting
in the non registered line for an hour...no kidding....cuz I did last

This is a first time attend for me so if you pre-register (sent mine in beginning of last week) do they send you the tickets or do you pick them up at the gate?

They will send a confirmation card through the mail to show them. If you dont happen to get one though you may be able to tell them your name in the pre registered line and they can look you up

Not sure yet, thats about a 1:15 drive from here which means leaving at zero dark thirty. I probably will though, it will just mean tanking up on some Circle K coffee.
I passed you coming home the other night on 405 while you were 10-18 out to US-1. Saw your relocated fogs as I went by the station and they look very good.

Yep. 0'dark-thirty, is the starting time for most all shows. You'll get use to it. (LOL)
Note to ALL: This show is RAIN or Shine!! Please, lets go in force reqardless of what the forecast is.
I'll be at Cracker Barrell I-75 and 50/98 at 6:00 AM, to chow down. Then at Love's at 8:00AM for the final caravan in, leaving there at 8:30AM

kyle; thanks for all the info, i think i found someone over here who's a little more mechanically inclined than i am, and can help with some of the stuff we discussed.
I hope some of ya'll can make it to the 9-11 run in september!
also may be going to the blue ridge cruise in october, if any are interested in going we'll try to meet up for the trip up!
