New to the stangs..
Thats probably what it is... was it on a white sticker on the side of a black panel on the left side of the engine bay?
Ok I just read something interesting...if your PCM codes match up...all the guy has to do is return his car to stock..this will allow the tuner to be unlocked once you recieve it with an SCT program called Liveload (we are all familiar with liveload..its what you use to upload your tunes to your tuner)... I just posted a question about the PCM codes to see if I can get a response of if it matters that your Calibration codes are different what can be done... I will probably get an answer tomorrow as I am a night owl and most are asleep.
If the PCM code doesnt match yours those tunes are worthless to you...wont work with your car. You absolutely have to have the same PCM codes as the guy to use his tunes...otherwise you will have to delete all of the tunes and purchase them from a tuner like bama or brenspeed...no big deal Dougs tunes are like $65 each...so not too bad.
Ive been reading and I believe if you purchased a tuner with a different Calibration code than yours you will have to talk to SCT to get the correct code to your XCAL2 for it to be compatible to your car (Or you might just talk to bama or brenspeed and they can make the tunes for your car specifically. Id wait till we have an answer before pulling the trigger on an Xcal that is used

Welcome Ryan! Nice Ride. Congrats on the new car. Ok now about the mods..........
CAI and Tuner is definately the best bang for the buck. I have the Racer from C&L and tunes from Brenspeed (they rock). I think your best bet is to get a new SCT tuner from a reputable dealer/tuner like brenspeed or bamachips. As to the CAI you can find a used one without the tuner on the forsale forums or fleabay. Once you find one you can order the tuner and tunes specific for your vehicle and CAI. Or if you prefer to go straight after the whole thing just get all of it from the tuner. Brenspeed **Cough** Cough**
Next I would replace the factory cogs for a set of 410's This will greatly increse the fun factor.
Next shifter to help with the increased windup from the gears.
Next UDP's
Next CMCV Deletes
Next Control arms
Next O/R H or X pipe and Mufflers
Next Drag Radials
Next Driveshaft
Next Mezzier water pump
Next Full length headers
Next Supercharger
And the list goes on and on and on depending what you want.
You might do well to sit down and think about where you want to make improvements and why. Ask yourself things like do I want to just go faster in a straight line or do I want this thing to corner hard as well? Look at your budget for fun and stick to it. This can become a very expensive adventure but if you budget right can be very rewarding. If your anything like I was at your age I know Money is always an issue so try to focus on making the most of your mods to fit the criteria that you came to after your brainstorm session.
Oh and then there are the cosmetic enhancements like stripes, wings, scoops, wheels, etc.....
I know it sounds like alot to soak in but you are at the right place for help! This is what we do.
Again welcome and happy modding!

No problemo.
Not a problem. If you need you car washed and washed. Just let Jarrod know.
I hear He does a free **** polish with all car washes purchased before the end of the year.
He can polish a **** with the best of them...
Well if Jeff says it's true............Then it must be. Afterall Lawyers never lie.....
Its sad how much you guys love me...i mean its borderline fatal attraction ****
i think what their trying to say is my car is always looking so fresh and so clean clean and I do an amazing job!! Now the **** job is Pauls specialty and is trying to push it off on me because hes lazy...and Davids just a follower
Hey Ryan...I believe if you find an SCT tuner for cheap go ahead and buy it if its in great condition. If the guy has tunes on the tuner that match your mods (IE: JLT or C&L tune) and you have the same calib/PCM code you can use his tunes...otherwise you have to erase the tuner and buy the tunes separate. So its kinda up to you.
I THINK the X3 has some probs. Do a search. i recall reading of some software issues they were trying to work out. Sounds like a MS product...
