haha that is funny...small little town your car is amazing i can't wait till i can get my car rolling on the mods. after christmas i should have cai tuner and shifter at least. but idk im gonna do performance first then looks...by the way how old are you?
#11
What CAI are you looking at getting... we can lead you in the right direction as far as mods goes. We have current members running consistant 12s in the 1/4 mile and a few some on the virge of breaking into the 12s. Also one has his car at kurtis's building the motor up to support his Kenne Bell supercharger and the boost he'll be throwing at it.
Im 26... Zesty is currently the youngest member at 17.

Do you go to school with Zesy?
#13
yes im 17 also ill be 18 in may. But i saw a deal wiht xcal2 and jlt2 for 350 shipped...from what i have found that cai is a pretty good one...between steeda c&l and jlt are pretty good

The C&L and JLT are both great choices... I am running the JLT as does a couple other members, we also have few members running the C&L... no complaints from either side. Thats a pretty good deal for the XCAL and JLT together.... not sure if you would have to reprogram it for your car. Each series of mustangs produced has a specific PCM code.... the XCAL is programmed to the PCM code and if your code doesnt match up the XCAL wont do its job.
If your new to the mustang world I can fill you in on some of the basics.
My opinion only: Go with either the JLT2 or C&L racer intake with either brenspeed or bamachips tunes. Those tuners are the most trusted in the country. Me and Pauly are both running Bama tunes.... David and Tony have brenspeed.
If I were you I would probably just save my money and purchase the Tuner/CAI package from either brenspeed or bama...it comes with their custom tunes specific to your car and your mods. UNLESS you can get a great deal on a CAI kit then I would do that and purchase the XCAL separately.

Maybe not... David could probably tell you better than I could. I just know that if the guy your purchasing froms car has a different PCM code than yours...you will have to get the XCAL reprogrammed for your PCM code. (not sure how to go about doing that...david or another member might be able to tell you better on that one, could be no big deal).
Easy enough...just ask the guy that your thinking of purchasing from what his PCM code is...then pop your hood and look at your code...if they match up no biggie.

Hey Ryan that tuner you were looking at...its calibration code (ie:PCM code is GYX1) check and see if yours matches up
