Green Country Classic Mustang Show 9-15-07
Boy, What a day! Breakfast was great as always at the IHOP.
The show was ok. Not as big a turn out as I thought there might be. I figure there was a couple hundred cars maybe. Congrats to Kenny for taking two trophies. I took one on a club vote.
Most of all props to all club members who attended. We took 2nd place for club participation and won 60 bucks. We then in turn used the winnings to get a few of us into the midnight drags.
New N/A best of 12.84 @ 106.23 MPH for myself.
Jarrod had a new best of 13.35 @ 104.56 MPH (confirmed by video after you left Jerbear!)
Good times to all who came out to the show, Tech and eat at Chris' place, and the drags! Had a blast!
Special thanks to Chris and family for hosting at his place after the show for food, Football viewing, Tech (installation of BMR Relocation brackets), and Billiards!

Didn't see Jeff at all yesterday? Anyone know where he is? I decided after the show that the club needs the tent / awning thing real bad. I got roasted!

A few weeks ago I spotted one at wally world for 100 bucks. plain Blue like the one randy had at Shelby.

We spent most of the day out looking of a car (not for me). I was the tech specialist along for the ride. No luck so far. Will try again next week. I finally got abit of free time late this afternoon and took this pic of a B-24Liberator flying over while I was snapping pics of the Roush. I hadn't had the Roush out in almost 3 weeks.
Oh David. You car sounds like its hauling the mail at the track!!! Congrats. Thats impressive!!!
And Jarrod, time for you to show the old man who's Boss, your not far behind with low 13's. !!!
Nothing to update on the Roush. Its the same as it was last time you guys saw it. It does have 819 miles on it now.....

No, the car is going to have to be a used car. Its for the daughter of a friend. The daughter is going to OSU right now and needs a ride so we are looking at a Honda/Toyota in the used market but the daughter wants a Honda Civic so our search is limited to that so far. Lots of them out there. Just need to find one that won't need alot of attention in the $5000.00 range. I would rather just buy a new car and call it a day but its not my call.
Owwww. P51... that's tempting. very tempting. Those and F4U Corsair are my favorite fighters. He must of converted it into a two seater. $350 is pretty pricey, but those things aren't exactly a Cessna 152. Get me some info...
