Same guys as last time, differences is they are flying Doug in and renting the Dynojet Dynamometer from Alternative Motorsports in OKC and not doing it at Joe Cooper in Yukon. The individual with the turbo was going to fly Doug in and rent the dyno on his own. Word got out and the cop and others got them to open it up to more folks, which they are doing. The cost is just a little higher than last time because of renting the dyno and flying Doug in.
The turbo is up first and may take 3 hours to see if Doug can get it to run, since no one else has, then the cop and then me at 12 - 1 (estimate)
Doug is no longer going to travel around with his dyno, it is now bolted down in his shop....another reason why I am doing this now.

I'm in for the road trip,but am happy with the tune from kurtis,and the feed back from other builders.
Bob any costs on this? I am currently running a doug tune, how much to tweak it?

Both were lean with to much timing.Kurtis pulled out 4 degress of timing and set the air fuel to 12.8.When he ran the mustang tune and brenspeed tune he laid them on a graph and they were almost the same.Air fuel on both were close to 13.6 and 38 degress of timing.I sent a copy of the pull to brenspeed,another story.After the adj.he put his tune over there's and pulled more hp.The mustang pull was the worst one so he put his tune in it's place and i kept the brenspeed.I am running his tune now.

Im assuming he might come down to $150 just to tweak his already exhisting tune. This might be something I do...this is a great chance to meet doug and get a dynotune.... BUT seeing how Tony's dyno runs went with Kurtis and his tuning job...I might be going to Kurtis and see what he can do for me instead.

The main reason i will stay with kurtis is he is close and i think i will tune where i live.It may be more consitant and it's easy to get to.

I have an automatic and Doug and Breenspeeds personal stangs are also autos and they both have tuned a bunch of auto cars.. when I had the e-mail tunes from Doug the trans was a blast (for an auto) it was just bang, bang, bang, bang.
The Roush SC program is a nightmare to get into and play with, Roush put up a lot of roadblocks, Doug and Breenspeed both have worked past this and have a bunch of Roushes out on the road running their tunes. They can and are getting great hp and torque increases and that is not pushing them to a ragged edge and still have the Roush reliabilty.
There is also comfort in knowing that the car will be strapped on a dyno with a guy that has done this succesfully more than most. Plus, I will have a great base to make changes locally down the road.
Not an auto or Roush SC then I would not be as excited, but then !!!
