Still power here. Howerver. I'm not sure if my two Pin Oaks will make it. They are touching the ground... The bad thing is a Pin Oak doesn't lose it'd leaves until Jan. Which leaves more surface area for the ice to accumulate. They were some of the largest trees in the hood. F-ing ice.

We still have power here in BA. I decided to make it a "work from home" day, but Christy decided to brave the ice and go into work....in the Mustang.

I still had power in Catoosa as of this morning. Surprised though as the trees, ground, houses, telephone poles, wires, everything has more than 3/4 " of ice. Trees broken everywhere. Roads not too bad but bridges were bad. saw two real good wrecks on I-44 this AM on the way to work. Oh and to all you sissies, I drove my stallion as I do everyday!

I drove my stang too! Naaaaaa. You know that's BS. Drove the Edge. I decided to test the auto stability control. That is too cool! In the neighborhood I would induce a slide, the computer would jump on it and corrected it in nano seconds. Pretty sweet.

I decided to come in. Doing some prep work incase the power goes out here. It's been flickering all day. We'll have to implement our emergency action plan if it does. It sounds cool, but really a pain in the ***.

Well managed to ge in my 8 1/2 hours at work 3:45am -12:15pm. Came home and water dripping in kitchen. Looks like gutters frozen and backing up water . Went out and chipped some ice in the gutters!! Thats fixed. Most of my trees are gone or about gone. Not one escaped damage. Pin Oak haning on but thats the only one.... Come on 35 degrees....

That sucks. The ones in the back yard look like they might/should make it. The one in front.... no dice. She's gone. Same at my place. I'll share pics when I get home.

Mines flickered several times since I got home from work amnd on the way into our sub-division I saw the main power lines holding up several large trees so I doubt the power will stay on. We have Gas Logs, kerosene heater and hot water and all is well!!!!

Survival!!!! Catch you guys later!!!
