i didn't find any recommedations except you can go lower than 25 with the DRs at the track, so i guess i will have to experiment a little. i used the same as you did last time, i might go a little lower and see what it does

Interesting. I wonder if anyone on this or another forum might have any experience with this?

I just did the same. Looks like one fellow running 24 pounds. He was blown running in the 11's. One post said the key with the Nittos is a real good burn out to get them real hot. So the line lock might be a great help.

I will be at the QT at 6:45 ready to roll.my cell--695-5790.When i run the gto at the track i run 22 lbs.Don't get to low on air,if you hook hard you can slip the tire on the wheel, not a pretty site.My best times with the gto are with my regular radials,no burn out and no water box 28 lbs of air.

yes they are the 555r drag radial, i searched several sites and they run anywhere from 16 to 24 with them. of course we are checking the pressure on a hot tire when we let the air out, i am sure the numbers are wrong.

Well i did a little research on them last night and I agree with David on this one... have to get them HOT...and they should work a lot better. I also read that the air temp at the track also plays a role in what tire pressure to use.... sometimes 18 would work and sometimes 22 would be best... all depends... you just need to play with it at the track

I sold the slicks a few years back, and retired the gto.The 1/4 panel would buckle and i got tired of redoing them. It's more of a street car now. They need to get those kids off the turd that chester cheetah poopied out.
