I used the fishing line with great success removing my side badges and my rear faux gas cap.

Hey David... how long does it take to remove--paint--let dry--install the valve covers?

I took mine off early in the AM and painted them then re-installed the next morning. But I suspect you could do it in the same day. If you took them off in the am painted and let cure they might be ready by the evening.

The pre paint prep takes the longest. I would say about two hours to remove and prep before paint. 1 hour to paint and then you wait. We could schedule it on the tech day. Do the cam covers, springs on my car, Stripes on Jeffs ride and whatever else needs done all at once.

I will send out an e-mail to the club announcing the 9th for a tech day. Location to be announced. I assume Paulies house but if he's not feeling well we can do at my place.

Sounds good to me. We can each bring something like buns, beer, hamburger patties, fixins, etc.
