Just spoke with 05fordGT and he confirmed that this color will be available on the 08 Mustang, but he's currently unable to determine if it will be available on the GT/CS.
Also confirmed that 2007 is the last year for Satin Silver

In 2003, Ford had both Satin Silver and Silver Metallic on the Mustang Cobra. Attached is 2 sections of the same ppg chart that has both colors. I've seen both in person. Silver Metallic has a little more flake in the paint and thus tends to sparkle a little more in the sun.
On an overcast day, I think you would be hard pressed to tell the difference between the 2 from more than 10 feet away.
Here's the original source. Look at chart 3. http://www.ppgcarpaint.com/colorchar...AutoMakerId=44

Interesting quote comparing a 2003 Satin Silver Cobra to a Silver Metallic Cobra

I have a satin silver Cobra, a buddy of mine has a silver metallic Cobra. We parked right next to each other one time and I could not tell the difference.

Silver is such a stealth color (especially here in Germany) no one really CARES about it, it is however, perfect for being unnoticed by the local constabulary as you speed along your merry way.

I had a '00 Satin Silver GT coupe. Around here, there aren't any silver GT '99-04 coupes, so it was unique in that regard. But at car shows, it wasn't flashy enough. Still, I love silver, and especially the Clearcoat Silver Metallic.
My parents purchased a Clearcoat Silver Metallic Ford Aerostar back in '92. It's a nice, bright silver, and doesn't show the lighter coats of road grime and dust as easily as some other colors (black, sonic blue, etc.)
Looking forward to seeing pictures of this color on the new 'Stangs. Still, though, the grabber blue looked good. I wonder if the Mach is coming back...

Silver is also very popular among all makes and models.
