Last I read Amy said something to the effect that the KR hood may be available. The parts catalog is up at:http://www.shelbyperformanceparts.com/
Perhaps the hood is on there? I know some stuff people have been waiting for isnt on yet and probably wont be until Monday.

KR hood is not in the Shelby Performance Parts Catalog. Only hood is the CS6. But it does say that this is the Summer 07 catalog and a lot more will be in the 2008 catalog. So we may just have to wait till then.

I'm with you G.T. The second I saw this hood I knew it was all wrong. Don't get me wrong, it's a cool hood, but it is nothing close to the KR hood.
It starts with the angle at the outer edge of the nostrils. The are not rounded and do not match the curves of the GT500 bumper. If you look at the front of the KR the curve starts on the pillar beside the headlight and continues up through the hood and into the nostrils on the hood. The SS hood doesn't have that at all, and that is like the first domino falling. Once that is out of place, the other lines are not going to line up right either.
And the heat extrators look like they were an afterthought and not part of the original design.
I'm not saying this is a bad hood, it looks good, but it's no KR hood and I have decided not to buy it. I will continue my construction of my own KR hood.

I wasn't buying into the previously released pics, but this is just mean and nasty looking. I love it !! The only thing I'd change is maybe the wheels.
Now if I can only find the spare 80 grand I have laying around somewhere.

The site is up. The site doesn't really have much though. Most of the products don't have pictures. Download the catalog in PDF. Doesn't have the KR hood but it does have the 20 inch Alcoa wheels if you like them. Plus a lot of other cool stuff.

Awesome. I love the flat black on red - very mean looking. I'm not a fan of 20" wheels - would rather have some rubber, so I'd go with 18" probably - just personal pref.
I've made my mind not to buy another car til 2014 - the 50th Anniversary of Mustang - but with all the SEs coming out, its tempting. BUT -since I won't do car payments - I'll keep saving.

I like the SS hood over the KR hood.
By making the lines in the KR hood "line up" with the bumper it makes
the openings to the ram air look too flattened and squinted.
I like the larger ram air. I am a little dissapointed in the heat extractors
but then again is this hood a prototype that was thrown together for a photoshoot. Who knows?
I would like to see the SS hood with the '68 style hood fasteners like the '08 KR uses.

I see no purpose on the dark tinting of windows, tail lights, and fascia lenses. There is too much black.
