Brooklands.....the world's first purpose built racetrack, built in 1907.....sadly little left of the track these days, but the Clubhouse still stands along with a small museum and a bunch of historic planes, including the very first prototype Concorde.

Anyway, the day started with a trip to our favourite 50's style American Diner. Horrible weather to start with, but the sun decided to shine toward the afternoon. I'll let the pictures do the rest of the talking.

Believe it or not, it is the badge of the "Institute of Advanced Motorists"!

Correct. It's pretty much what it say on the badge. The "institute" teaches advanced driving techniques, but it's much more awareness based rather than performance based. Many take the test as it reduces insurance premiums.
