2006 Mazda Nagare Concept
The Nagare is the first of several concepts that Mazda plans on unvieling at Los Angeles, Detroit, Geneva and Tokyo in this years auto show circuit. Under Laurens van den Acker, Mazda's new global design director, the design team was presented with the task of conveying motion in vehicles whether they are moving or not. The Nagare has a sleek shape and is aerodynamically efficient. For agile maneuverability and quick steering the wheels have been placed at the far corners. The two double length doors open up foward and vertically. Much like a single-seat race car, the driver seat is center mounted under the highest portion of the roof providing plenty of head room. The large door opening and the center driver seat allows for easy entry to the suprisingly spacious interior where three passengers can relax comfortably in the wrap-around lounge that is the Nagare's rear compartment.
Of Course this advanced design needs an equally advanced powertrain and the Nagare could very well be best suited being powered by the same a hydrogen/gasoline-fueled rotary engine powering RX-8s currently in use in Japan.

here is a video my friend put together, its pretty good especially when you consider he went while it was open to the public and it must of been hard getting some of those shots.

2007 Aston Martin V8 Vantage Roadster
The Aston Martin Roadster is perfectly balanced with a low aggressive stance. While definately modern it maintains many of the classic Aston Martin styling cues. Its hand made interior is crafted from only the finest of materials.
"The V8 Vantage Roadster is a pure sports car, a car that heightens the senses and provides a dynamically thrilling driving experience" said Dr. Ulrich Bez, Aston Martin Chairman and CEO. "The Vantage Roadster adds to the unbeatable thrill of open air motoring and by combining engineering excellence, technological innovation and physical perfection, will ensure every journey is one to remember."
The Vantage Roadster shares the same aluminum Vertical Horizontal architecture as the coupe. Adding to the car's low weight and high rigidity the body is comprised of lightweight alloys, magnesium and advanced composites. Both driver and passenger experience a racelike connection with the car due to the low sitting seats being close to the car's center of gravity.
The Roadster is the smallest model Aston Martin offers and one of the leanest cars in its class at only 172.5 inches long. Even with all of the added mechanisms needed for the convertible roof and the stiffer body the roadster has experienced only a slight weight gain over that of the coupe making it just as nimble.
Two transmissions will be offered. The standard being a six-speed Graziano conventional stick-shift manual gearbox, with perfectly matched ratios to the performance of its V8 engine. The second option is the new and very quick Sportshift automated manual transmission where paddles are used to rapidly yet smoothly shift through the gears with the flick of a finger.

2007 Audi R8
Audi has incorporated the name and the genes of the five-time Le Mans winner, the Audi R8, into a spectacular sports car. Three years after the unveiling of the Audi Le Mans quattro concept car, the production version will be making its debut at the Paris Motor Show in the guise of the New Audi R8 mid-engined sports model. It is a fascinating driving machine and the sporty pinnacle of the Audi brand. The mid-mounted 420 bhp V8 FSI engine, quattro permanent four-wheel drive and Audi Space Frame aluminum body form the basis for truly outstanding driving dynamics. The Audi R8 will be available to order on September 28, 2006; first deliveries will be made in the first half of 2007.
Even at first glance, the calibre of the car is plain to see. The Audi R8 sits broad and squats on the road. The characteristic proportions of the vehicle are dictated by the location of the engine behind the cockpit. The central position of the engine is above all a boon to driving dynamics, as it allows for a weight distribution, as on the R8, of 44 percent to the front and 56 percent to the rear. The car's body is highly compact in appearance. The front end and the gently curved roof arc are drawn in a sweeping line; a line which immediately marks the two-seater out as an Audi. The cabin is pushed far foward - a typical feature of a mid-engined sports car, and as such a visual cue linking it to the race car of the same name. Behind the cabin, positioned in front of the rear axle, is the V8 FSI engine, a sculptured piece of engineering visible both through the large, shield-shaped rear window and from inside the car.
74.8 inches wide but just 174.41 inches long and 49.21 inches high, dimensions of a true sports car. The 104.33 inch wheelbase offers room for the astonishingly spacious cabin and the longitudinally mounted engine behind it. Behind the doors, a large surface "sideblade" air deflector sweeps betweeen the wheel arch and the roof section, delivering air for the V8 to breathe as well as for cooling. The front end is characterised by the trapezoidal styling of the Audi single-frame grille, flanked on the right and left by additional large-dimensioned air intakes.
An automatically extending rear spoiler is deployed to assist the R8 in using the wind. It provides additional downforce to boost the suction effect produced by the aerodynamic styling of the underbody and by the diffusers. When travelling at lower speeds, the rear spoiler automatically retracts flush with the body.
The sporty interior is dominated by a totally driver-oriented cockpit architecture, integrating the driver between the dashboard and the high center console. The instrument panel above the console is angled slightly towards the driver. The flat-bottomed steering wheel is a typical feature of the sportiest of Audi models, and also enables comfortable sports car entry and exit. There is plenty of room for the two occupants, with comfort levels well beyond the norm of high-performance sports cars. There is space behind the seats to stow large bags, or even two golf bags. The sport seats are trimmed as standard in a Leather/Alcantara combination, or optionally in full leather. The R8 can also be fitted with bucket seats, specially developed by quattro GmbH.
In the high-revving 420 bhp eight-cylinder engine, the evolution of FSI petrol direct injection technology has reached a new high. At 7,800 rpm the 4.2L engine delivers 420 bhp. Two transmissions are available: a manual 6-speed gearbox or optionally the Audi R tronic sequential-shift gearbox. The R8 is fitted with 18in wheels as standard, and can optionally be ordered with 19in wheels. The 235/40 tires up front and 285/35 in rear provide the necessary road-handling.

2008 Audi TT Roadster 3.2 Quattro
The Audi TT Roadster is an open-top sports car that retains the distinctive lines of its tremendously successful predecessor, but instils them with even greater emotion, performance and dynamism. The chassis of the new Roadster is built for impressive sporty performance. Its highlight is Audi magnetic ride, the optional suspension damping technology that allows drivers to choose between an uncompromisingly dynamic ride or more comfort-orientated characteristics.`The TT Roadster comes standard with a quick-action, fully automatic softtop.
Whereas the tail end and the roof section seem to flow into one another at the rear of the TT Coupé, the soft top of the TT Roadster forms a clear contrast that gives the overall design a more geometric look. The body's lines brim with power and forward thrust. This impression is underscored by the athletic curves of the vehicle's flanks just as much as by the rising dynamic line above the sill area and the taut, muscular shoulder line. The eye-catching fuel filler cap positioned above the rear right wheel sports a classic aluminium design.
As on the Coupé, an electrically powered spoiler rises up out of the boot lid when the speed reaches 75mph. Compared to the model it replaces the new TT Roadster has undergone a growth spurt, with the new proportions accentuating its sporty nature. Length is now 164.49 in (+ 5.39 in), width 72.52 in (+ 3.07 in) and height 53.46 in (+ .31 in), while the wheelbase has been extended by 1.81 in to 97.17 in. Despite the extra size, however, the drag coefficient of the 2.0 TFSI is just 0.32 with the soft top up.
Audi made a conscious decision to keep the cloth top for the new TT Roadster. The soft top concept fits in perfectly with the philosophy of puristic open-top motoring and also offers a number of benefits over a folding steel hard top. The cloth hood, incorporating reinforcements made from steel and aluminium as well as a large glass rear window, has a very lightweight construction – not only does this reduce the overall weight of the TT Roadster, it lowers its centre of gravity too. It sleekly blends in with the car's lines and takes up only a small amount of space when folded down. Thanks to the new Z-fold, the front section of the roof lies on top of the cloth like a cover. It locks into place to lie flush with the body, dispensing with the need for a tonneau cover. The soft top is available in the colours black and dark grey. The Roadster comes standard with an electrohydraulically powered soft top. This version of the soft top opens in just 12 seconds at the push of a button, and can even be operated on the move at speeds of up to 31mph. The fully automatic top incorporates an additional layer of soundproofing beneath the black headliner for even better acoustic and thermal insulation.
The manually operated roof is operated by means of a central catch. A mesh wind deflector that extends and retracts electrically can be ordered as an option to smooth the airstream in the interior – none of the competitor models are able to offer such a convenient solution.
Like the TT Coupé, the body of the TT Roadster is also built on the principles of Audi Space Frame (ASF) technology, featuring a pioneering hybrid construction that showcases the brand's tremendous expertise in lightweight design. The body is made from 58 percent aluminium and 42 percent steel. This material mix makes the Roadster extremely light, with the 2.0 TFSI tipping the scales at just 2854.98 lbs. Already impressive in the outgoing TT Roadster, static torsional strength has been more than doubled in the new model – this translates into outstanding vibrational comfort and precision handling.
The interior of the TT Roadster is noticeably larger too, offering extra headroom and elbow room.`Deep-set sports seats provide firm lateral support for both the driver and passenger. The standard-specification leather sports steering wheel features a flat-bottomed rim. The optional Impulse leather trim with its distinctive topstitching already attained cult status when it was offered for the outgoing model; it is one of four different leather trim packages. The 3.2 quattro is upholstered in a combined Alcantara/Leather trim as standard.
Like the TT Coupé, the new Roadster is available with the transverse-mounted 3.2 liter V6 engine with a choice of two transverse-mounted petrol engines. The V6 powers all four wheels based on the quattro principle offering dynamism and sure roadholding in equal measure. Apart from a sporty six-speed anual shift, the V6 is also available in conjunction with the innovative S tronic dual-clutch gearbox for lightning-fast gear changes without any interruption in the power flow. The V6 unit delivers 250 bhp and a peak torque of 236 lb-ft which is on tap between 2800 and 3000 rpm. The sonorous, ultra-compact long-stroke engine features two continuously adjustable camshafts. The TT Roadster 3.2 quattro sprints from 0 - 60 mph in 5.8 seconds with the S tronic gearbox and can, if necessary, go on to reach a governed top speed of 155 mph.
The sporty chassis has undergone complete redevelopment for the new TT Roadster. Its chief features are the complex four-link rear suspension, wide track widths, elastokinematics that have been heavily reworked, plus large wheels. The 3.2 quattro on 17-inch alloy wheels. The wheels may be specified with run-flat capabilities as an option. The front wheel suspension, which is linked to a separate subframe, has a McPherson construction that has been refined by the use of lightweight aluminium components. The electromechanical power-assisted steering combines a direct ratio with sensitive precision. The construction of the four-link rear suspension, which also operates using a subframe, separates the coil springs and the shock absorbers from one another. The longitudinal links – which have a relatively soft set-up for enhanced ride comfort – absorb the propulsive and braking forces, while the rigid connection of the three transverse links for each wheel allows them to direct the lateral forces into the bodyshell with great precision.
The redeveloped electronic stabilisation program (ESP) has been optimised for a sporty driving style and to help produce the steering balance of the TT Roadster, which varies between neutral and slight understeer. If necessary, the brake assist system takes action to ensure that the four large disc brakes build up maximum braking power as fast as possible. The optional Audi magnetic ride adaptive damping system is a high-tech feature that is unique in the roadster segment. At the push of a button, drivers can choose between either an extra-comfortable or a decidedly dynamic suspension set-up. Circulating inside the shock absorber struts is a special fluid containing minute magnetic particles. Applying a voltage to this fluid alters its viscosity – and therefore the damping characteristics – within milliseconds.
