Thanks for the pics.....the shelby doesn't impress me, i do not care for the front grill (incl. the cobra badge), rear spoiler looks junky, rims do not impress me----now if this car is in the mid 40's to boot, they can keep it, i'll take my 05' vert, slap anSC on it for about 4-5 K and be faster, for 9-12K less--- ---what do you guys think?
Yeah, but this is 475bhp out of the box. With a CAI, longtubes and a pulley change your above 550 or more w/o breaking a sweat.

The GT cannot handle the increased boost. This car will have a lot of potential.

that is a Galpin car, they did all the work on it and I asked who made those as well, the guy at the booth didnt know but he did give me the name of the guy of whom to get in touch with, he is in charge of the galpinized cars and their creations, I will post it tomorrow I dont have it in front of me right now. And even though they do fill out the lights better (which is more of an OEM look) than the flat stainless steel piece I have on mine they still have a plastic look to them (which looks less OEM) and are less shiny and noticeable from a distance. So after standing behind this car for a good 10 minutes staring at these lights and this bezel, my friend and I decided to stay with the one I have on my car right now. A perfect bezel would be if this one on the pink car was made from steel instead of plastic.

yeah apparently there were a lot of complaints that the car wasnt there even on Saturday, it is because they had to hold off until the official debut at Detroit on Sunday for the press.

They're going to overcharge you, don't buy anything from Galpin. They tried to tell my friend it was going to be 600 for lowering springs plus install. He said he could do it himself, so they told him that would void his warranty. They have their own shop, they did full custom straight pipes for him, then told him he had to take it off or else it would void the warranty. They then charged him extra to weld his flows onto the stock system because of warranty issues. Maybe this is the wrong thread for this but I highly suggest you find another seller, even if they're the only ones with it.

oh and on the topic of if this car is any much better than getting a GT lets get real, I think for the first time in a long time the Cobra (yes I know its no longer carrying that name) is actually worth the money over the GT and for 2 very good reasons.....

1)the 5.4L motor (for any of you that think that you can simply bolt on an SC and have just as great of a car are kidding yourselves, the 5.4L will be capable of way more power than the 485 that it is said to have. Heck it can be capapble of more than that even without the SC on it, tehn retune the comp and increase the boost and you can easily hit 550HP+ and with the added bolt ons on top of that it is easily a 700-800HP car without breaking a sweat, yes you can get an SC and do all the bolt ons and add a 6speed if you really want to and add the suspension but heck as the saying goes there is no replacement for displacement!!!!)

and the most important reason it is worth the money is

2)SHELBY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is more than likely the last car he will have his name on that most of you will be able to buy (minus the Shelby GR1 which most people cant afford) and it will be even more likely the last Mustang to carry the name Shelby.

I wasnt suggesting buying it from Galpin (in fact I would strongly recommend no one ever do business with them) but since they did do the car I was going to ask who makes the piece and where can one get it.

Thanks rrobello!
I'm not too worried about the finish since I'd prefer them in black anyway.
Sux that they're plastic though. I'll have to be a lot more careful if I have to sand them down for paint.

I'll assume that's from the same car... how many pink '05 Mustangs could be out there.
Too bad it's $90!!! That's more than double what they're worth.
Guess I'll keep looking.

I would suggest then going to pepboys and buying the chrome wheel well modling for trunks that everyone was using to do this before any of these bezels came out and trying to paint that, cuz its the same material, and looks the same its just one piece and cut perfectly for these lights, but at least you would know if painting them would work before going and spending the dough on these.

That's the stuff I was trying to avoid. That's why I was looking for a one piece design.

Ideally, I would want one made like the stainless steel one you have, but have it contoured around the egdes of the light instead of being flat.

Sounds good.
Looks like that's about the only way we'll get any descent aftermarket parts. Still looking for a good grille w/o the pony or fogs and a Shelby looking ducktail spoiler.

Are they "one piece"? if so, PLEASE find out where he got them.
www.mustangtuning.com $65 bucks and looks perfect, not to wide, just curved enough to see from sharp angles, and not flat so they dont 'light up' under headlights from the rear. Looks factory.
