Horsepower and Torque - Which is better? Neither (for you muscle heads!)

I know you American Muscle guys like to boast about your torque so here's an article for you! (JK not really raggin on you guys, I just find the article interesting and informative)

The following link is a summary of the "difference" between horsepower and torque and why torque is not "better" than horsepower or vice versa. Horsepower = torque

obviously horsepower and torque are not the SAME but regardless of what they represent you could present either a horsepower graph OR a torque graph (separately) to someone and without knowing the other they could know the capabilities of that car just the same had you given them a graph with both present.

When I say they're the same I mean that they do not represent different levels of performance or different qualities of performance. They're the same in that you wouldn't have horsepower without torque, horsepower is just torque + formula.

Comments always welcome!

They are indeed the same, Hp is found with the rpm and tq at that rpm.
I have driven my friends n/a 12 sec honda, I had to wind it up near 10k rpm. To me I like a balance in the power band, having no top gets boring too.

Yea once I'm done with my k25z3 (k24 bottom end bored out to 2.5L and z3 head) I should dip into the 12's although I won't be revving 10k! :O lol I'd have to de-stroke it for that which is just money I'm not looking to spend. Would be really fun though
