Verification for DTE FLI DATA ERR

Looks like this is covered under TSB 06-10-13 here...

http://bradbarnett.net/mustangs/gala...sb06_10_13.pdf

Just got this on the way to work today. Was sitting in a bunch of slow traffic and my message center started beeping. Looked down and saw DTE FLI DATA ERR, gas gauge showed E. After another mile or so the gas needle started slowly climbing again and was back to normal by the time I got to work. TSB says they will replace the sender unit, just wanted to make sure that this actually fixes this problem.

Everything I read says bad gas and basically destroys the sending unit. If so, I'll obviously not buy gas from that place again. What place you ask? Chevron, the place that everyone says to buy from to PREVENT this problem. I just filled up 2 days ago there, and have been getting most of my gas from that station lately.

Mine was just in for the second time for the fuel guage issue. i don't think they replaced the sending unit the first time, but I refuse to have to buy gas at certain stations,,I'll just keep bring it back until they get a permanent fix !!!

Well even good stations find themselves with bad gas once in a while...

And unfortunately, in Arid-zona, we don't get the better quality grades of gasoline.
