Trunk Sidewall

Has anyone had problems with the interior trunk side trim coming loose? The two plastic screws are always popping off and the dealer just adding new ones, but they still pop off.

no issue with mine. If these are push-pin type, have you tried pushing them in farther? If screw-type, check the back-side clip.. perhaps it's the wrong size (to big) or too far back to grab screw/pin threads.

I've had the same problem with the screw on type of retainer onmy wife's 06 Convertible. The dealer has replaced them twice and both times they were loose before she got the car home. we had taillight wire issues, that have now been resolved. Anyway it's because the inside of the fastener has a very small lip that fits into the threads of the taillight screw and if it is forced at all when strating the lips will just strip right out. It's is a Ford part # W712314S300. At my local dealership the are usually is stock at @ 1.70 each. I just bought 4 as spares.

I have not had that problem yet with the bullitt, but with both my '05 and '06 some of them popped out. I got tired of replacing them and eventually just left them out.

I added one on each side to hold the edges under the center plastic piece.

If your referring to the back piece of trim panel. Ford changed the fasteners mid 06 and the new style suck ***. It does not secure the panel tight. I had this problem and was able to locate some of the older styled screw type clips but ford no longer makes them which sucks.

Just a dab of RTV will do the trick.
