I've read many of the posts here regarding rattles, but haven't come across one thats like the one I currently have. It only seems to do it once the car warms up (approx after driving 10 miles). When getting on the throttle there is a very annoying ticking noise that sounds like it is coming from the tachometer. As the tachometer needle rises the ticking happens but once I let of the throttle it stops. Any ideas or solutions. I have an appointment this Friday with the dealership to get it looked at but I was hoping someone else had experienced the problem and had a solution.

Sounds like you might need a new instrument cluster. I think the tach and speedo are electronic, so I doubt there would be any alternatives. At least you are able to pinpoint the noise.

My 2004 mach does that exact same thing. As far as I can tell, its just annoying and only seems to happen in cooler weather (i.e. its happening now).
