So i went to the track & this happened..

My first pass was good got a 13.8 (best of the night) 2nd pass my friend drove the car he spin the tires off the line he also missed 2nd & 3rd he got a 15.7 then he was like ur car is making a weird noise in 3rd... Then I went and go ahead & checked that out it was grinding when going into 3rd but it went away for a while... So I decided to do the last pass of the night against my buddies tbss we take off even then I missed 2nd & pulled up on him & got him by the end of the 1/4.... So I'm rolling out & I notice that every time I'm trying to shift into 3rd it pops out of place everytime I let go of the clutch & it makes a grinding noise.. I need some input on this guys ( what can it be gear box, the whole tranny...) let me know guys thanks

Reading that? Yeah. You need to not be driving on that gearbox and get it yanked and inspected. He's ground off the synchros, possibly chunked up third gear's teeth, and the noise is due to all that there. And then you ran it anyway, and missed 2nd. Yep... not helpin' the cause.

Floating bits of metal will cause the rest of the gears to quickly be shot, so get it looked at.

And you posted this in the 'Warranty and Service Issues' section? Yeah, good luck with that idea.

Like these guys said it sounds like 3rd is shot and the other gears will soon follow suit if not replaced soon

Btw Ford isnt going to fix it under warranty unless theres definitive proof it wasnt caused by hard track driving
