I am not trying to insult you Chad but did you try turning the wheel thats next to the steering wheel(I think that where it is) the **** allows you to adjust the brightness level of the interior instruments. Heres is a picture to help.

I had the same thing when I first got my '05 GT in October '04. I was one of the first to have the Shaker problem and have it resolved. They replaced the Shaker (keep in mind Selling Dealership was 2 hours away from where we moved to), but the lights didn't illuminate on the buttons so I had to return the car. They had to call and get the instructions on correcting the problem -- just needed programmed on their end. Has worked fine ever since.

I had the same problem with my 1st Shaker 500 replacement.
They are not plug & play. They have to pull the information from the unit itself, load it into the computer, and away she goes.

The Shaker 500 is no longer in my car. After the 3rd replacement, it was just the same as the original unit, skipped, clipped the beginning of songs, and sometimes shut down.

I had my Shaker 1000 replaced about two weeks ago. The new radio works, however, the serial number ends in "D." I thought the new radios should end in a "B."

My Shaker crapped out last weekend on a vacation trip. Got to endure commercial radio for the first time in years. Then I get back and call the dealer and it's at least two-three weeks to get a replacement. That's two strikes on this new (11K miles) '05 GT. It's my sixth Mustang (ninth Ford) since '92 but one more strike and it's out.....Toyotas don't do this $hit, or at least not like this. My '01 GT went through 50K miles without a single hiccup, and that included over a hundred trips down the quarter mile. If they don't get their build quality up, they're gonna wind up just like GM.

Sorry for the rant, but I'd rather spend two weeks with no A/C in the summertime than without my CD player. Oh well.....bright side....it went knockers up on the trip home and not the trip there.
