Question Safe Mode

Has anyone with an 05 GT had their on board computer display show the vehicle in safe mode and the car operating at a reduced power out put?

My son states his car started doing this yesterday and he has two codes that show radiator/cooling issues. Never seen a post on this before. I also have an 05 GT.

He describes the car as having almost no power in safe mode, news to me. Anyone have a similar experience?

I have heard about it happening to others. I believe there is some information on it in the users manual.

Yes it cuts power to not damage the engine and gives you the ability to get it safely off the road.

There are other threads on this you might want to do a search. It might be because of mods.

At least it was something that wouldn't damage anything driving with it like that

My 05 GT coupe had the "limp home" reduced power problem. The dealer replaced the throttle body and it was fixed.

This is exactly what they did with my son's 05 GT. Warranty replaced the throttle body.......
