Anyone seen issues with the black reflector that hangs in front of the bulb. Mine appears to be melting from the heat of the bulb.

If I missed this somewhere sorry.

I looked at mine last night, and the driver's side bulb cover is melting. I can't notice it unless I really look for it. I'll leave it for awhile and see if it gets worse before I take it in to get fixed.

Mine are melting too. It looks like the fog lights have a metal piece and the headlights have plastic pieces. Nice.

OK so they melt. I will have the dealer replace mine when they do. No problem with me.

My sentiments exactly. I called the dealer (actually my salesman, a good friend of mine) yesterday to see if they'd replace both headlight housings with housings from an 07 since Ford obviously figured out that plastic melts when it's near a hot element like, say, a 55 watt bulb! and they stopped putting the bulb cover in there. They wanted the VIN for some reason I was told that "not all 05's had the problem", which lead me to believe there may be a TSB for it? I checked the TSB Sticky in this forum and didn't seen one. So any way, they said they would replace both housings and have the '05 units in stock. So I guess I'll at least let them do that, and maybe find a set of '07 take offs from someone on eBay.

Edit 5 minutes later OK scratch that - there is NO WAY I'm taking my car to the dealership for this. They have to remove the bumper to swap the headlight assemblies? Aint no way in hades I'm doing it now. I'll live with it.
