question about disconnecting battery and aftermarket tunes

a lot of procedures done to the mustang require that you disconnect the battery before proceeding. i was wondering if it will erase any aftermarket tune that has been loaded (ie brenspeed, bamachips, tillman). would the tune need to be reloaded before driving or would the tune hold in memory?

thanks in advance.

It holds the tune in the memory just like it would hold the stock tune in memory. The aftermarket tune overwrites the factory tune, so the factory tune does not exist in the cars memory anymore. There is nothing for it to revert back to, except the tune that is loaded.
