Problems with dealer; looking for works time estimate

My '05 GT goes out of warranty on June 7th. I've contacted the dealer to schedule an appointment for the 40,000km service check and some additional works, some of which should be under warranty. The problem is that he hasn't replied and I'm afraid I won't be able to book the appointment during warranty period (to be honest, I'm afraid he's doing it on purpose ).

Anyway, here's a list of the works I need to have done. I know the hour rates differ from one state to another, let alone from the US to the EU, so I'm hoping to get a time estimate from you guys, then I can check with other dealers here and find out how much the whole thing will cost.

1. Rear axle noise (TSB 05-20-2).
2. Front suspension popping noise when turning (TSB 05-9-11).
3. Loose front seat cushion cover (TSB 05-19-10).
4. Possible damage on front left brake rotor.
5. Vibration in the steering column: probably just an unbalanced wheel.
6. Clicking noise from rear brakes at low speed in reverse.
7. Replacement of cabin air filter.

Thanks for any help!

Go to another dealer. That one sounds like a douchebag. Can't give you a service appt for the next two weeks? Give me a break!

How did you contact him? In my part of the woods, there's no "call back". You just pick up the phone, call, and make an appt.

you told him of the problems first so its his deal. I did that to dell they lost my comp. They ended up sending a new one because they knew of the problem and managed to not send the box for pick up until after the warranty.

Well, since he's located in Holland, that may not be as easy as it seems

Well in his post, he said

so I think that implies that he does have more than one dealer.

SixtySix is right, my car is not under Ford warranty, but under this guy's dealership warranty, since the Mustang is not officially sold by Ford in EU. He is an official Ford dealer who also does the so-called "gray imports" with US models. He has a 20+ years experience dealing with American Fords and he offers a 2 year warranty upon purchase, that's why I chose to buy the car from him and not import it myself. He also took care of the necessary modifications and paperwork for EU homologation of my car, something that I absolutely wanted to avoid doing myself.
But it's true that there are many Ford dealers around where I could go, the only (big) disadvantage being that I'd have to pay any works done on the car in full.

To better understand my situation, imagine one of you guys buying a Ford Mondeo in the US.

I can't give you estimates sorry. I would suggest you go there in person.

I hate the phone tag garbage on car work.. You normally get much better response when you are standing in front of them.

Perhaps now is the time to buy the ESP package, once the package is in place it's hard to screw you over except for the $100.00 deductible.

I just drop mine off if and when needed. If they are busy they give rentals for the day, otherwise sounds like they are stalling you.

The dealer came through and scheduled the appointment for June 5th. I'll post the outcome afterwards.

Glad you have got the appointment Louie. The only recourse you would have had would have been through the courts. this is the problem with warranties on grey imports, they are only as good as the person making the warranty.

Good luck with it, I hope he sorts out the problems. (Although the air filter is a service item, so I think you will end up paying for that).
