No go on rear diff and fuel pump...

Took my baby up to the most local dealer over the weekend, I left it with them, and told them I wanted some warranty work performed, they said they'd look at it, and I explained everything pretty straight-forward about it, what was wrong, the low-speed groaning from the rear end and the cruise control/fuel pump thing. I told them I had TSB numbers, but they wouldn't accept them, said they had to diagnose it themselves. That's when I knew it wasn't going to work out.

Anyhow, my car has a Steeda intake, JBA long tubes, JBA offroad H, and JBA axle backs, and I put an SCT Xcal2 on it, and had it tuned up in PA.

They denied the warranty claim because of the cats being off, and said it was screwing with the computer. This is complete bull****, but I don't have the time or energy to argue. Just thought I'd share my experience. Anyone happen to know a mod-friendly dealership in Nebraska? Heading home this weekend and hoping to find some friends out there who don't mind going the extra mile.

Update:

Took her in to Woodhouse Ford in Blair NE. I called last week and verified what was going on, told him I had seen the TSB paperwork, and that the car had mods. He looked the TSBs up as I was on the phone with him, and she went in Tuesday morning. The TSB-05-21-02 "Limited Slip Rear End Moan" was finished by 1100am Tuesday, and they had the fuel pump overnighted and that goes in later today. I get to go pick her up this afternoon. I can't wait.

Just a sidenote, this is the dealership where I purchased the car, and I've had absolutely no hassles dealing with them. Great service, great people. I just wish every dealership made the same effort.

What fuel pump thing are you talking about...is that when you have cruse control on for a while and then the car bucks as soon as you out of CC and give it gas?

For future run in's with dealers they have to PROVE you mods did the damage. http://www.granatellimotorsports.com/magnusonmoss.htm
