My car has the gas tank issue

my car has the gas tank issue since i got it, back in nov 04.

now my warranty is almost up at 32,000 and im trying to get everything in line before that its up.the gas tank problems been pretty annoying but have just dealt with it.now ive been reading on here that there is a TSB and everyones getting it fixed.

will the dealership fix it for you even with 32k or will they make you pay.i feel kinda dumb going to the same place for over 2 years and not mentioning it but if there fixing them i might as well get on board right.

also has anyone purchased the extended warranty after theres was up? i get the feeling im gonna need it

Take the car in and see what they can do to help you, but after checking the TSB on this issue it appears that you might have a car bulit after the newer version gas tanks have been installed on the Mustangs, and if that's the case a new tank won't help you (read the TSB's on this issue and you'll see what I'm talking about)

Okay, then according to the TSB your car should qualify for a new gas tank, after all the warrenty for our cars was 3 years/36000 miles, so you should be okay.
In your earlier post you asked if anyone bought an extended warrenty AFTER the factory warrenty expired. I'm not sure if you can get one from Ford, but if you do some research you might be able to find one from another company.

In my case I bought an extended warrenty when I bought the car. The way I looked at it the 05 Mustang was an all-new model so there might be some problems with the new model so I bought the extended warrenty just to be on the safe side.
