Interior Rattles

Does anybody have any rattles in the interior. I can hear one coming from driver door and one from IP. The car has only 300 miles.

I have a rattle in the driver door. It is the piece between the handle and the door panel. I have a noise coming from the convertible top that I need to find. It sounds like it is the rubber seal fluttering in the wind but the feels too hard to be moved by the wind.

I also have a two door rattles; one in each door. My buddy said he had the same thing and they packed his doors with insulator whatever that means. They told him it was due to the radio being too loud.......

My car has some rattles. I have 24,000 miles on it.

I have rattles in each of the A-pillars; I've heard that it is common and requires stuffing some insulation in there - I just never got around to it.

I have a manual transmission and my gear shift rubs agains the plastic housing (its worst in 5th gear). Its an annoying sound. I brought it to the dealer once and they told be it was a normal noise for all '05 & '06 Mustangs.

Overall its a great car, but I was expecting more as far as the overall interior build quality.

Well, looks like I am not alone with my rattles, but, hey, what the heck, the car worth it, I stare to her 5 seconds and I forget all the rattles. I forgive her all the sins she has. Nobody and nothing is perfect.

Yup got rattles mine come from the top of the dash around the area where the A pillars connect. I know I can fix it but I am afraid to take apart the interior.

Mine only rattles when it's pretty cold and I go over a bump or two. As posted above, I don't want things torn apart for the fix. Lucky for me we don't have much cold weather down here. The rattle can be pretty noticeable though.

my girls 2006 has the same problem. its actually the ring around the vent. if you push it down it goes away. but who wants to push it down while riding.
get annoying when we have the radio off and talking. let me know it you take it in. should be warranty. they can actually just replace the vent.

Its not hard to fix that one. Just take out A pillar molding on the driver side and in the far corner of the dash, close to the windshield, put a small piece of foam between the dash and the sheet metal. The A pillar molding comes out very easy.

I thought my rattle was coming from there to, but when I removed the A pillar I saw that Ford already has put a piece of foam there. My car was made on April 29, 2006. Looks like all the cars at least after that date have already a foam there and shouldn't have a rattle coming from there.

I still can't figure out the sorce of my rattle that comes from the driver side. The next one is my driver door that I am going to take apart.

Whatever I do, I would never take my car to the dealership. I won't let them touch her...especially take apart the interior panels...
