Help. My heat/air fan does not cut off

So it’s not constantly a problem but fairly frequent. I can cut my air setting to off (no defrost no vents nothing just off) and my fan still continues to run and push air thru the defrost. I can change the fan speeds while the air is “off” and it will respond to the fan speed settings while it’s off. Has anyone had this before? The thermostat settings still work correctly and it will switch between vents, feet, and defrost correctly it just doesn’t turn the fan off? I can’t find anything on google it’s all about fans that won’t cut on or ac not working.

This is just a guess on my part, but it could possibly be related to a switch/module or relay wearing out? Perhaps connecting a hand-held scanning tool to your OBDII port might provide a code from the ECM to determine which parts may be responsible In the meantime, welcome aboard!

Thank you I’ll see if I can’t get someone to scan it and see if anything comes up!
