Door Weatherstipping Mashed

I noticed that the rubber seems mashed down where the mirror frame hits it. Has anyone gotten a dealer to replace it? It isn't leaking but is starting to have some wind noise on the highway.

I looked at mine last night when I detailed the car, no issues here.

I noticed the rubber is getting quite compressed. But it's not mashed or destroyed yet.

I also. Doesn't seem to be affecting anything. Unless, of course, it IS leaking, and that's why my driver's side sub works about 1/5 of the time...

It's just one of those things that costs a lot down the line... <sigh>

I had both door pillars' weather stripping protruding from them. I took into the dealer and they are taking care of it under warranty. Seems like this is not an uncommon problem. Whats the deal with that. This isnt exactly a rocket science concept.

Same issue here, the stripping was sticking out right above driver side mirror. took it to the dealer, they made it not stick out anymore by ripping it out! I just discovered this a week ago(had the work done a year ago). Now I look down the same seam where the stripping was sticking out and I see what was left after they did the "expert" repair job...the same piece of weatherstripiing, minus the ripped-out section (so obvious it was ripped cause no clean lines, just obvious). This is getting fixed next time car is at the dealer.

my point: if you have this repair done, check to see that they didn't just rip it out, unless of course I'm wrong and that is the correct method of repair, who knows these days
