Door Locking / unlocking

OK I just picked up my car from my local dealership. I took it in since I got screwed out of my Global windows operation. But in my owners hand book, it states that I can turn the key while its in the drivers door Once to unlock, and If I turn it again with in 3 seconds, the Passinger door will unlock. My service tech told me that this was a Mis-print in the owners hand book. Will someone step up to the plate and give me an Honest answer??? The back of my owners hand book states thats its the Second Printing From Dec 2004. The Upc code on the back of the book is PM5R3J-19A321-EA.

All I want is an honest answer, since I really dont trust my local dealership.

Thanks Tim

Pg. 65 of my owner's guide, same UPC as yours, mentions this. I just tried it, and it did not work.

It was part of the Global windows piece. If your global window feature does not work this will not work. Since they turned it off on all 06 and up cars it won't work.

And why are you using a key in the first place? I can't remember the last time I stuck a key in the door of my car(s).

Cool I love finding new things on my car. Before this thread, I never realized I had a keyhole in the door.

I remember back in day before there were key fobs, the area around the keyhole on the doors always had a bunch scratches.

You think that's neat, try finding the keyhole on the passenger door.

Go look at a 500 and see if you can find a keyhole for the trunk

There must be some kinda of problem because all they have to do is plug in thier computer and enable global windows ? I have heard that some come back to thier car and find them down or open, so may be a liability issue , So I'm good with the way it is now !

Midway though the 2005 model year this feature was permanently disabled. So no you can't just plug in the computer and enable it on a 2006 or 2007 MY mustang and you are rolling the dice with the 2005 MY cars.
