They say it doesn't have anything to do with the stereo or alarm systems - it is what memory the car has to have to operate.
Just had my first issue regarding a dead battery last week. Have had car for 2 3/4 years with 23,000 on it and this was the first time it wouldn't start. Car had sat for 14 days prior to this.
Pulled the battery and took it to the dealer - it had a bad cell, so I came home with a new one. Had the charging system checked and its putting out ok. Got a Battery Tender since with winter coming, it does sit for longer periods.

Just had my battery replaced, it died on the way back from Wisconsin. Started ok in the morning, had to have it jumped after stoping once the second time had to call roadside asst. he tried to use the jumper box that did not work and had to use the truck. 300 miles later got home, shut it off and tried to start it....dead. bad cell.

With the remote start there is a "convenience" button where you can hit it and remove the keys and the engine remains running. Had to do that to get gas.

Not recommended to leave car running while pumping gas. Unless you want he gas cap light to come on.........

Only other choice at the time was to wait another hour for roadside asst. to show up.

I've fueled it a couple of times with the engine running, mostly when it is super cold out and I just started it 2 minutes before. I've never seen the gas cap warning come on.

Maybe it goes off after you put the gas cap back on
