Dead Battery Already???
I asked the dealer about the dead battery issue yesterday when I had the car in for the brake fluid damage issue. I was told that all of these new Fords - not just Mustangs - do the same thing. If they are not driven for at least 1 hour a week, the battery drains down. They claim that the problem is the car has to retain a certain amount of memory to operate and that drains down the battery. They say it doesn't have anything to do with the stereo or alarm systems - it is what memory the car has to have to operate.
Pulled the battery and took it to the dealer - it had a bad cell, so I came home with a new one. Had the charging system checked and its putting out ok. Got a Battery Tender since with winter coming, it does sit for longer periods.

Just had my battery replaced, it died on the way back from Wisconsin. Started ok in the morning, had to have it jumped after stoping once the second time had to call roadside asst. he tried to use the jumper box that did not work and had to use the truck. 300 miles later got home, shut it off and tried to start it....dead. bad cell.
I've fueled it a couple of times with the engine running, mostly when it is super cold out and I just started it 2 minutes before. I've never seen the gas cap warning come on.
