Day at the dealer...

I took my Mustang of 2 days to be looked at the local dealership. I posted a thread about this problem I was having. Basically, I turned on the car, which had been sitting for about 4 hours, and when I put it in D and took off I noticed a screeching sound coming from the wheel whenever I turned it. The power steering fluid was full and the brakes weren't involved. Anyhow, the dealer took it for a spin and put it on the rack and looked at it for about an hour. Couldn't find anything wrong with it. The mecahnic was talking to a Ford rep via email and they said it might have something to do with bellhousing. Anyhow, I told them not to worry about it, as it only did it once and lasted for under 5 mins. I think it was some rocks or small pebbles which got stuck in the rotors or brakes. I live in a private community with many rocks.

Anyway, while waiting to get my car back I asked the Service Dept manager "If I were to put an aftermarket cold air intake or exhaust system on it, would it void the warranty?" He said yes it would. Thats all he said and walked away.

Is this true?

It wont unless it's found to cause the exact issue the car has. I drove mine for a couple thousand to make 100% sure all major engine stuff was in check(valvetrain, rods, etc) then startted modding. The chance iof a CAI with a decent tune causing any issues is almost nil.

Thanks you for clarifying this matter for me.
