clutch noise/cold start... anyone searching that winds up here, suggest getting the car up on a lift and lightly tap on the dust shield bottom between bellhousing and engine...mine had a rattle sometimes, just stuffed a little VHB tape in there to cushion it from rattling against the aluminum bellhousing- sometimes the exhaust heat shields can rattle too- I had a sight vibration, hint of a rattle after changing the clutch, here the exhaust wasnt hanging free...noticed tips were a little off, loosened/realigned, and what i thought was a nit-pic appearance thing was actually a slight bind causing some pressure on the motormounts...read there was a tsb to remove and toss out the rubber midpipe donut hangers to eliminate noise/vibration also.

other clutch noise I had was the (very cheep looking if you ever looked at it) pedal/pivot/master cyl assy squeaking... I lubed my pedal a little over a yr ago, its still quiet, but I forget what lube I used- be careful as some lubes will destroy some types of plastic- might want to ask around...never forget I used some 'tri-flow' oil I'd used for years on my rc heli, to quiet a squeaky plastic vacuum cleaner wheel- the thing completely disintegrated a week or two later- the wife was not impressed

anyways, just wanted to mention the above...often assume a throwout bearing is the issue, but not always
