Clicking sound @ auto shifter when brake is pressed

When the car is running(not when engine off), I can hear a click when I press down the brake. The sound seems to be from the auto shifter/e-brake area. Any ideas? Anyone else? Normal? Problem? This started yesterday. Thanks for any and all replies.

05 GT auto.

Totally normal, this is the shift interlock clicking to allow you move the shifter with your foot on the brake. Yes it could be a bit more quiet but it is how mine is also.

Hey-thanks a lot! She'll be out of warranty in 6 months, and I wasn't sure if I needed to take her in. Any time I can avoid a trip to the dealer the happier I am! Thanks again!
