Angry Check Your Hoods..Rustang !!!

BEWARE of hood corrosion !!! Check this thread and be careful if your 05/06 is getting near 3 years old. Ford will NOT fix it !!!!...I am sooo ****ed of right now !!! I can not believe that Ford is doing this crap. There is a TSB that states that the problem is theirs but they still will not fix it if your car is 3 years or 36,000. They say it's a paint issue, which is BS. It's clearly a corrosion issue !!

Please all....Go check your hoods. Open it up and run your fingers along ALL the edges. Check for ANY indication, no matter how small. Especially where the lip is on the front of the hood. It starts on the inside/underneath and creeps around to the front/top.

My 3 year paint warranty was up in Dec. I noticed the bubbles on mine last week. The dealer told my I was SOL (Their exact words). To me it's obvious that this issue was there FAR before the 3 year warranty was up. I just didn't notice it....So PLEASE ALL watch your hoods !!

You must contact your Ford area representative about problems like this ASAP.
Do not let a dealer blow you off.

Thats sucks. It isn't rust though. I had the same thing happen on my 06' on the bottom of the drivers door. I was told by the body shop at the dealership that sometimes the paint reacts to the aluminum and causes the bubbling. It's not just on Redfire either. A friend of mine has a silver 06' and his had the corrosion the day he picked it up.
