Bumper scratches- before and after
So, yet another lesson to those buying used cars: TAKE YOUR TIME and look at EVERYTHING. I've had my 05 GT for a little over a month. Like I've said before I clean it very regularly, but it's never really occurred to me to stick my head under the front bumper and look up
When I happened to do that last week I was horrified to see huge deep scratches all along the area under the bumper- I'll put up before pictures so you can see how bad. Granted, you can't see them, but I knew they were there and it was making me bat****.
Of course the stealership had no interest in talking to me....
I figured my choices were
1. Body shop- too expensive- on my last car I was quoted $585 and $710 at 2 shops to remove a door ding the size of a quarter. In a tough location but still....
2. detail shop- look at the pics, I feel this was too extensive for a garden variety detailer and I do not know any kick *** ones.
3. Do it myself - hahahahhhaaaa hahahahahahahha!!
I found these guys locally called The Bumper Guys ( can you believe that?) and they came out to my job, and fixed the whole thing in less than 3 hours for $245. Looks like it never happened... Check out the after photos. These guys were phenomenal- truly a godsend.
I guess it goes to show if you look hard enough you can find a solution- I found them online.

Nice.
Heck, I bought new and I find imperfections from time to time. Like a significant nick on the inside interior of the passenger door jamb trim - a door that never gets opened, mind you.

This is actually one of the reasons I painted the bottom lip HoK HR010 Satin Black. Now, if I scrape it, it just doesn't show.
/well, that, and it just looks cooler that way.
//And your repair dudes did an awesome job!
