BCM problems

Hello, I have a 2009 mustang GT with automatic transmission.
I recently purchased a used BCM because the old one had water damage which was causing ac and power mirrors problems, I hooked up the new BCM and the ac and mirror problems were fixed but I could not shift the car out of park, break lights turn on, and when reconnecting the old BCM it works again, I was wondering if it's a faulty BCM or do I

need to get it reprogrammed? All part numbers and Delphi match up and all fuses on new one are good.
Thank you
