Question Battery disconnection needed?

If I'm taking my car in for service and I don't want them to know I've been running a tune, won't re-flash to stock be enough to cover it up? Why do I need to disconnect the battery?

if you just reflash to stock it will work, alot of people do it and there is no signs of you messing with anything
