2007->2010 4.0 engine replacement, need wiring help

I am new here. I'm at a loss and am hoping I can get some help before I have to pull the trigger on buying an $80 manual.
I have a 2007 V6 mustang, had to replace the engine and transmission in it. The one I got ended up being from a 2010, still a 4.0L like the 2007, but connections are very different and I had no idea they even made the 4.0 in 2010 still. On my 2007 the transmission harness with the O2 sensors was also attached to the green fuse box section, but this seems to be completely missing from the 2010 harness. How do I get PCM and starter power to where they need to go from the fuse box? I have one connector that hasn't seemed to fit to anything, off of one diagram it looks like possibly the Transmission range C167 connector, but that only has 6 or 7 wires while the old green box has 12 wires coming out of it. From what little information I've scratched out, it seems the orange/green thick wire would replace the yellow/light blue starter wire, but I can't figure any of the others out definitively. Hoping to keep the old box and splice in the necessary wires.
Is there a way I could get access to a Ford technical site that could help me out too? Pictures attached.
I can't help with specifics, but it isn't surprising you are having issues. The first three years (2005-2007) of the S-197 Mustang don't have too many changes.
Starting in 2008, Ford made quite a few not-so-subtle changes, and I am pretty sure the wiring harness was one of them.
You can get used 2007 harnesses online, but let the buyer beware. They mostly run in the $150-250 range. But if they are iffy, you're stuck.
Places like Summit Racing, Ford OEM Parts Online, and others have new or NOS wiring harnesses. Make sure you have your Mustang's VIN number when you hunt.
I suspect that 2010 harness is going to be more of a hassle than it is worth.

A 2007 Wiring Diagram & a 2010 Will Be Invaluable For Your Situation.
The 2010 Was a Hybrid Year With Old Tech 2005-2009 & A Mix of The Upcoming Change in 2011 To a 5.0 Etc.
I Would Like To See Plugins on Actual Transmissions from Both Years To get a Better Idea of What You Are Running Into.
Ideally Before Any Engine Swap You Sit Both Units Side By Side & Compare All Features. Did a Wrecking Yard Sell you this and Say it was Plug & Play Or Did you Just get a Wrecked 2010? The More Info the Better.
I Would Try To Integrate Your Factory 2007 Wiring Harness to 2010 Components {Plugs} So All You Are Changing is Not Requiring Major Surgery. Trying To Adapt All The 2010 Wiring Back into The Whole System Would Be a Nightmare From What you Are Describing.
I Hope You Still Have Old Engine & All Original Parts??

Thank you Paris and KC. Unfortunately I do not have the old engine or transmission to do side-by-side comparison with. I do however still have the full 2007 wiring harness. Was really hoping to avoid pulling the engine back out but it looks like I might have to.
The yard I got the engine and trans from said it should be plug and play, but I guess they did not anticipate the hybrid nature of the 2010 year as you described.
To be clear on my situation, the engine and transmission harnesses that came with the 2010 setup are both fully intact, and I also got the original ECU for 2010 as well with the engine/trans. I'm not sure if my car already has partial integration, for example the C146 connector on the 2010 diagram you sent plugged right into an existing connector I already had on my body. As far as I can tell, the only real hiccup I have remaining is to feed power from the Bussed electrical connector to the PCM and starter at minimum. I've scrapped the AC in my car (it's convertible and I'm in San Diego) so that is not a big concern of mine.
I will look into the manuals you posted. I have electrical experience, so long as I can find the correct pinouts and wiring diagrams I'll be able to find a way to integrate.
You Don't Want to Be Swapping PCM's As Even if you get it to Work Being in California It is Possible To Throw Up an Emission Flag as Vin is Embedded To a Certain Point. Been Down That Road. Also Your Anti theft PATS Keys Would Have to Be Reprogrammed as Well. And That is Just Off The Top of The Noodle. While Anything Can Be Done With enough Work Sometimes The Direct Path although it Seems Longer Maybe a Short Cut in The Long Run.
I Think Using 07 Harness Will Save a Lot of Grief Down The Road. I Would Guess The SJB Would Not Play Nice With 2010 Harness as Well. Body Wiring Really Changed on 2010 Ups!
With The 2 books Right in Front of You I Think You Can Make an Informed Decision. You Can Always Sell Them After You are Through & Recoup The Investment.

Due to my own shortsightedness I don't have the 2007 ECU anymore anyways, so I am stuck with the 2010. Knew I would have to go to the dealer for a reprogram from the start.
While There Are Some Guru's That Can Reprogram Different Year Pcm's I Think This is Gonna Be an Issue. There are Sources Where you Can get a Programmed PCM With Keys. This is an Example. You Can Shop Around You Can call & Ask about The 2010 One To Be Sure.
