Hey everyone. Just picked up a 05 GT with a bad SJB (water related issues). Bought a new one, everything started working normally except the AC. I figured it just needed a recharge so I got some cans from Walmart and charged it up. The compressor is running fine so I decided to take it to the local shop. They did a diagnostic on it and said it was actuator #4. I decided to have them replace it since they had one in stock and it was there, they called today and said the actuator still wasn’t working meaning it was an electrical issue that they were looking into. I figured I’d see if anyone had the same problem or knew what to look for? Cars at the shop but not sure if I can find something to help them out and get it back a Bit faster or help someone else out!
I forgot to mention all the controls function normally it’s just not getting cold air. It’s blowing around hot. If I crank it to heat you can notice a difference in temp so I know the actual thermostat switch is functioning.
Any odd smells in the cabin when you are trying to run the A/C? If so, the evaporator core might be bad and require replacement.
Two key places A/C and engine cooling gets expensive to repair in the S197's - the evap core (dash removal to replace) and hoses that run under the intake plenum in the engine valley (engine top tear down to access). I had to do both in my '06.

After they looked at it they were able to determine it was the switch not cycling to the cool setting. Which was odd because the heat side worked. Junkyard pullout and she works fine now! I guess I lucked out
